I specialize in portraiture, events, editorial, and short-form video production. The biggest asset I bring to any project is my genuine interest in other people.
18 years! My first paid gig was for the high school newspaper, The Eastlake Edge. I’ve been a journalism nerd ever since. I got my BA from Northeastern University, moved to Portland in 2012, and founded my LLC in late 2017. In 2020, I opened my photo studio at the corner of Clinton St and SE 25th Ave. My clients include Travel Portland, Nike, Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, the Willamette Week, New Avenues for Youth, CNN and the University of Oregon.
Photography clients receive an edited gallery within one week. Videography clients receive a password-protected link within two weeks.
Yes, I’m open to your specific timeline, but if I have to cancel my trip to the beach, it’ll cost ya.
My main camera is a Nikon Z6 with either a 24-70mm f/2.8 or a 50mm f/1.2 lens, depending on the application. I also use a Fujifilm X100F for parties, candid portraits and street photography.
In my studio, I light people and products with a pair of LED softboxes and a remote-triggered strobe. My backdrops are cloth, with additional art supplies applied liberally.
When recording audio into the field, I bring a Zoom H5n recorder and the appropriate mic(s).
Clients are quoted a flat session fee. This fee locks down our shoot dates.
For photography clients, this session fee includes a certain number of digital selections, images that the client can download and keep forever. The client always gets to pick their favorites.
For videography clients, the session fee includes one round of revisions based on client notes.
Additional digital selections, rounds of revision and printed products are available to purchase as needed. Project terms are always outlined by written contract, and agreed to by both parties.
Invoices are delivered via Square. I accept debit and credit cards, ACH transfers, checks, Venmo, Cash App, tangible cash money or gold-pressed latinum.
My packages are designed to be flexible. Clients receive a certain number of digital selections up front, and can always come back and purchase more images at a later time.
Portrait clients tend to purchase between 6 and 24 images. Event clients tend to purchase between 30 and 75 images. Commercial clients tend to purchase between 10 and 35 images. Licensing clients tend to purchase between 8 and 24 images at a time.
Clients are granted a lifetime, nonexclusive license to share and use the images they purchase across print and digital, with no additional licensing fees, including for commercial purposes.
My licensing clients are granted nonexclusive rights to share and use the images across print and digital media, including for commercial purposes, for a renewable term of one to five years.
Yes, my image galleries offer beautiful, on-demand printed products from independent labs around the country, mailed to your door. These purchases directly support my practice.
Definitely! With art direction assistance as you need it, or none at all.
Session fees are nonrefundable but shoots may be rescheduled an unlimited number of times within one calendar year. I humbly request at least 48 hours notice, thank you!
